Sharpham (now based at Sandridge Barton in Devon) has been at the forefront of the English wine scene since the 1980s, and their Dart Valley Reserve is a great introduction to light and easy-drinking English whites.

Made from a blend that includes Madeleine Angevine and Pinot Blanc, this has ripe stone fruit—think white peach and yellow apple—alongside a touch of lemon thyme and is slightly off-dry. If you’ve enjoyed English whites before, or are looking for something light and welcoming, this is a great place to start.
